Avatar-like 13-ft-tall Robot, Which Might Guard Borders Some Day
A South Korean robotic company — Hankook Mirae Technology — has been working on this gigantic 13-ft-tall robot, which weighs close to 1.5-ton and can accommodate a human pilot too. Remember the 2009 flick Avatar? And the giant robots used in them — yes, they’re coming to life. These robots — named Method-2 — might be the future of border security patrol, construction as well as might star in some movies too. Vitaly Bulgarov, a conceptual designer and a dedicated 3D modelling enthusiast, is working with engineers at Hankook Mirae to develop Method-2. The Wolverine-Inspired Material Which Will Help Robots Self-Heal

Android’s Competition Cyanogen Dies; Lineage is Born
CyanogenMod, a popular open-source Android software for tablets and smartphones which has been around for the past eight years, has announced that it’ll be shutting down service by 31st December 2016 but will be rebranded as LineageOS. The company once aimed at killing Android by making a better version of it than Google, but has now come shambling down. The rear camera unit is supported by dual-LED flash, and the front end gets an 8MP snapper too.
