But now, we have twice as powerful machines in our pockets. So today, I am going to talk about some of the top fighting games you can play on these phones and enjoy some action.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

Injustice: Gods Among Us is a great arcade fighting games for superhero fans. You have all the DC superheroes along with villains to choose from and enter the ring to fight. Now when I say DC comics, you might think of playing as Batman or the Superman and have your very own Batman vs Superman thing. But don’t expect that just as you start playing the game. Each fight consists of 3 on 3 characters and you have to level them up and buy new players for your squad. The characters are treated as cards and sometimes you might even get a reward. You have in-app purchases in case you just can’t wait to get your hands on the best superheroes. You also get the chance to go online and challenge real opponents if you think the AI is way too easy for your moves. Talking about the graphics, they are simply stunning and you really need a powerful device with a bigger screen to make the most out of it.

MORTAL KOMBAT X

Well, this game brings back my childhood memories and indeed the whole fatalities thing that made the game awesome back then. MORTAL KOMBAT X is an evolution of the same game for the new generation, with better graphics and streamlined gameplay. The gameplay hasn’t changed much, you choose a hero and then harness its fighting skills to take on opponents. The game is free with in-app purchases and you have collectibles and level ups. Much like all the other games out there. There’s a PC version as well if you would like to play the game on your computer. The graphics are awesome, but I think the gameplay and controls need a bit of a touchup.

Real Boxing

Real Boxing is for the boxing lovers and if you have a Tegra powered device. Now, I don’t know much about boxing and how things go inside the ring, but the game was kind enough to teach me some of the basics to keep me going. The gameplay and graphics of the game are impressive. Also, the controls never come in the way of your game. You got career mode where you can create and customize your boxer and once he is trained to take on the world, you can go online and play some multiplayer matches. Please be advised that the game is designed for Tegra devices and users on low-end phones might not get the best from it.

Real Steel World Robot Boxing

After superheroes and humans, it’s time for some robot-fighting and the only name that comes to mind is Real Steal. Great movie, I must say, and the Real Steel World Robot Boxing is inspired by it. We have many games on the Play Store with the name Real Steal, but this one is free to download and play and has better graphics. You start with a robot and then fight with it to get power ups and level up as you proceed. I genuinely feel that the control of the game could have been a lot more like Injustice where you swipe to deliver a punch, rather than hard coded punching keys on the screen. The graphics and sound are pretty good. A game you can definitely try out.

Shadow Fight 2

Shadow Fight 2 is a mix of RPG and classical fighting game with Ninja music all set in a 2D environment. The term Shadow Fight comes because of the fighting characters. Just like a shadow, they are all black and you just see the outline of them. It sure becomes difficult to know which side of the screen your player is, but that’s what makes it interesting. You can customize your fighter with epic swords, nunchaku, armor suits, magical powers, and more and there are many combos for you to master. Still, controls could have been better with just two tiny buttons for kick and punch.

Conclusion

So these were some of the games you can play on your Android. Best for times when you need to take out your frustration. All of them are free to play with in-app purchases. So go on and download a few on your device. The above article may contain affiliate links which help support Guiding Tech. However, it does not affect our editorial integrity.
